Barbara Karnes is the author of several books including what has become known as "The Little Blue Book" The official title is: "Gone from My Sight- The Dying Process." It remains the standard in the hospice industry nearly 35 years after its introduction. It has sold over 25 million copies. But, this book was just the beginning of Barbara's body of work to educate us on the death process.

While at the bedside of hundreds of people during the dying process, Hospice Pioneer Barbara Karnes noticed that each death was following a near identical script. These realizations led Barbara to sit down and write Gone From My Sight, "The Little Blue Book" that changed the hospice industry.
