Are soul agreements a real thing? What if I told you that the intricacies of life, perhaps even the heartaches, might be very much orchestrated by a higher power? This episode brings you into the fascinating realm of soul contracts or soul agreements as we often call them. I share some personal experiences, insights from mediums, and mystifying tales of those who've had near-death experiences.

Join me as I explore the paradox of free will versus determinism, discussing whether these two opposing concepts can exist together. I'll walk you through a touching conversation I had with a friend who lost her son at a young age and how this tragic event might have been part of the soul agreement. So, do you think your life's trajectory is under your control or part of a predestined plan? Tune in to dive into these profound questions and reflect on your life's path. Your thoughts are most welcome. Let's learn from each other's perspectives.

Speaker 1:

I'm excited to announce I have a great new resource. It's called Gems Four Steps to Move from Grief to Joy, and what it is. It's four things that I've found that I do on a daily basis to help me to navigate my grief, and I'm offering it to you free of charge. It's a free download. Just go to my website, wwwgrieftogrowthcom. Slash gems G-E-M-S and grab it there for free. I hope you enjoy it. So Yelena asked me about sole contracts and what I believe about sole contracts, and it specifically comes around people leaving, what we perceive to be early. I want to say several things about this. One is I don't believe people leave early. I think people leave on time. I've talked to several mediums. I've talked to people that have near-death experiences and they tell me that there are certain exit points and if it's not our time to leave, that we can't leave. So I do believe that to be true and I don't believe that anyone leaves early. When it comes to sole contracts, I kind of bristle at the word contract. It's so legalistic, it sounds so binding. I like the idea more of sole agreements. I believe that we do make sole agreements and there's evidence from this from people that have a life, between lives, regressions, to what mediums tell us, to what people that have near-death experiences tell us. There is some sort of overall plan when we come into this life and that makes sense to me. And as I look at my life, I see a lot of patterns and I see things that make sense to me now that didn't make sense to me when I was younger. I go back to when I was a child and my parents took me out of one school, put me in another school. I was very, very upset, but when that turned out to be for the best of me, I got a great education because of the schools I went to, which led to where I am now. I remember a time when I got fired, when Kayla was nine months old and I was a sole breadwinner. I thought it was the worst thing ever and it wouldn't be. Until years later I realized that that getting fired pushed me out of a job that I was very comfortable in and would have never have left. But I didn't really like the job and it pushed me into a job where I ended up making a lot more money and led me to be much more of an entrepreneur because I took a job that was 100% commissioned. So that turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as we put it. So when it comes to sole agreements, again, I think there's evidence, as I've outlined earlier, that they're there. My view of the universe is very much. I try to blend the things that seem contradictory. So people say well, I don't believe in contracts, I don't believe in determinism, because I believe in free will and I believe it's a mixture of both. I think that we have free will. I think that maybe there are accidents or some sort of randomness in the universe, but I do believe that overall there's an overarching plan and this is most well documented, and I can think of a movie called the Adjustment Bureau and then the Adjustment Bureau. There are these two characters that they keep trying to get together. They're exercising their free will, but the overall plan is that they're not supposed to get together. And there are these agents that run around the universe and they make adjustments, they try to throw you off your path or put you on a certain path, because there is a sovereign plan, but there's also this blending of free will and I think the movie does a really good job of balancing those two things out. My friend Sarah and I talk about this and she believes absolutely in soul planning and soul contracts and we talk when we I said well, what about free will? She says, well, the free will is what you exercise before you come here. And I believe that could possibly be true as well as our human selves. We have our human selves, our ego, that feels like it's trapped in this body, and then we have our higher self that has a different perspective, and I think our higher self would make different choices, and does make different choices, and even makes different choices while we're in the body. So I think there's a cooperative kind of dance between our human self and our higher self, with our higher self taking control again, especially in the planning phase. I was talking with someone just a couple of days ago and her son passed away at the age of seven. My daughter passed away at the age of 15. And we were talking about this idea of planning and I asked her, with a smile on my face, I said do you think that your son planned this? And she said, yeah, I remember. You know, as you know, she had a life between life regression and she remembers she and her son planning it, but it was his idea and I just intuitively think that this was Shayna's idea, for Shayna to leave early. And I don't know, we may have lived other lives together where I left early. Maybe she stayed around. I don't know that, I have no way of knowing that, but that's what I choose to believe. So bottom line when I say to you is I do believe there's a fair amount of evidence for sole contracts. Again, life between life regressions, people will remember sitting with their counsel, with their higher selves, with their loved ones, and making the plans. Mediums tell us that there is planning for the sole. Someone will come in who's passed away and says this is always going to be. This was planned. This was my exit point and people that have had near-death experiences also verify that there is sole planning. But I would say this to you if it makes you feel depressed, if it makes you feel out of control, like I don't have any control over this, why would I plan this? Then you know you don't have to believe it. I do believe it. We still have free will. Even though I do believe in sole agreements. For me it brings me a sense of control because I know that I feel like I planned it. I feel like my higher self is still involved in planning what's best for me, and it makes me curious about what happens to me. It also makes it easier for me to believe that what happens to me is for my higher good. So when something happens, even if I feel like it's negative, I'm like what is the lesson in this? What is this? It's just trying to move me off of the path that I'm on. It's just trying to put me on to a different path, which I believe would be a better path. So that's the way I happen to look at it and that's what works for me. I'm curious what your thoughts are on on sole contracts or sole agreements. Does it make you feel empowered? Does it make you feel in control of your life? Does it make you feel like things are happening for you rather than to you, or does it depress you? Do you accept it or do you reject it? Again, it's entirely up to you. I'm not trying to convince you one way or the other, just telling you what my thought process are and processes are and why it happens to work for me. So thanks for listening, thanks for being a patron, thanks for supporting my work, and let me know what questions you have so I can address on a future episode. Have a great day. Hi there, I'm really excited to tell you about my latest ebook. It's four lessons that you can learn from the near-death experience without going through all the trouble of dying to learn them. I've been studying Indies for several years now. I am completely convinced that not only are they a hundred percent real, but that there's some very universal wisdom that we can get from the near-death experience, and I've distilled that down in this book into four short lessons. I've also given you all the reasons why I believe the Indies are absolutely real. So go to wwwgrieftogrowthcom slash NDE lessons to pick it up for free. Wwwgrieftogrowthcom slash NDE lessons.
