Ever wondered about the fundamental difference between a force and a condition? As I dive into this thought-provoking topic, I illuminate the philosophy behind forces and conditions using the metaphor of light and darkness, inspired by the teachings in Frances Key's The Team books. I take you on a journey to understanding how force, like light, is an active presence while a condition, much like darkness, is a passive state of being.

Drawing parallels from the epic Star Wars universe, I talk about the profound concept of how the same force can be used for creation or destruction. Amidst global unrest, I invite you to reflect upon your capacity to wield your personal force for positive change. Regardless of the magnitude of the issue, your light, your energy, indeed makes a pivotal difference- not just a symbolic difference, a real difference.Β  There is something you can do!

Tune in as I encourage you to harness your personal power to dispel darkness and create a positive impact.

Speaker 1:

Hey there, everyone. Welcome back to another premium episode of Grief to Growth. Thanks again so much for being a supporter, thanks for hanging in there with me and continuing your support, and please continue to share the show with other people. I want to talk today about the difference between a force and a condition, and this was inspired, like a lot of things that I bring to you, by the team books, and I was recently finishing up book four beyond the team. Where this idea of forces versus conditions come from? If you're not familiar with the team books, they're by Francis Key. There's a series of four books that were channeled by her mother, who passed in the spirit. They're excellent, excellent work.

Speaker 1:

So this idea of forces versus conditions, and when we talk about forces versus condition, a great illustration is the example of light versus darkness. Now, light is a force, whereas darkness is a condition, and darkness is merely the absence of light. And a great way to think about this is if you walk into a dark room with a flashlight, the room's going to be lit up by the flashlight, and the brighter the light, the more the lit the room is going to be. But if you walk into a lit room with a flashlight, that's turned off, the flashlight doesn't shine dark into the light. And when the sun comes up in the morning, of course we have the light. But when the night comes, it's not because there's some other entity that shines darkness into the sky. It's because of the absence of the sun that we can see the stars. So hopefully, this idea of forces versus conditions is illustrated to you by this idea of light. So, in a world that seems to be shrouded in shadows, it's essential to remember this that darkness is not an entity with power, but rather it's a state, it's an absence, it's a lack of light, it's a condition, it's not a force. So if darkness is merely the absence of light, then it holds no power other than the space that we give it. It can't act, it can't push, it simply exists where the light isn't. And in the absence of light. The more absence of the light there is, the more we seek to bring light to it, the more bleak things seem, the more we want to act to make them brighter. Now, in the movie Star Wars, they talk about the force, and the force is that thing that drives the entire universe. And they talk about the dark side and talk about the light side.

Speaker 1:

But really there's one force the force that we use to create is the same force that we can use to destroy. If you think about it right now, you could pick up something in your room and you could destroy it. You could pick up a rock. If you're outside, you could throw it through a window. Now, this isn't a pleasant thought, the ponder, but it's true. We always have a choice to use our force, to use our will to destroy. We also have a choice to use that same force, or that same will to create. The same force, acting in different ways, can create things that are either what we call good or we call evil, and as we see these things being created, good or evil, then of course we want to react hope most of us do at least to stop the evil, to stop the things that are bad and to promote things that are good.

Speaker 1:

Now we're in a situation right now We've got a lot of global unrest, we've got the Ukraine, we've got the Middle East, and we can see forces on both sides acting both ways. We see the forces of people killing other people, we see people being victimized, but we also see the force of the people that are there to do good, people that are there to heal Red Cross, for example, and other NGOs that are there bringing force to bear to try to improve conditions, to make things better. And we can often feel hopeless and helpless because we say, well, what can I do? What can I do as an individual sitting in my home halfway around the world? I can't impact that, but we can.

Speaker 1:

Actually, our force, our light, our energy can and does make a real difference and we can choose how we use that. We can choose to focus on the bad, we can choose to focus on the evil and, in a way, by doing that, we actually contribute to that energy that in the team books they call these spheres of vibration, where these vibrational spheres of things like greed and jealousy and rage and anger and all that stuff, there are actual things that we can tap into. Or we can choose to focus on the good and we can improve that ability for mankind to tap into that. So when we think about what's going on, we think about the negative, we think about things that we don't like, instead of focusing on that. I mean, we can't ignore it. But what if we focus on the possibilities? What if we focus on what we can do, which is, by bringing light to the situation, to choose to focus on the good, the people that are there to do good, and focus on positive outcomes and just be willing to consider that possibility.

Speaker 1:

So, as we go forward, I want you to remember this idea of force versus condition and remember that when we see things that are conditions the lack of light that they are merely that. They are merely conditions. They don't have the power to act, that a condition cannot act on a force, but the force of light can act on a condition and can bring light to any condition, and this is not just a feel good thing, this is a reality in the world that we live in, and the more that we embrace that reality, the more we're going to improve the world for all of us. So that's it for me for today. I hope that you appreciate this Up and make sense to you.
