Even with a fast internet connection, large videos can take a very long time to upload to YouTube. Unless you're publishing for people to watch on high definition televisions, you can probably get away with some file compression thus making your upload times much, much shorter.
In this video I will talk about an open source software application called Handbrake. I will go over some basic settings to compress your file without losing quality or at least not very much quality. The example I give took a 7 GB file down to a 350 MB or file in about 15 minutes. That file should upload about 14 times faster than the original.
